Carter brings nearly a decade of criminal defense experience, including service in both private practice and the Knox County Public Defender’s Office.
Throughout his career, he has tried more than 15 jury trials and successfully represented clients facing some of the most serious criminal charges, including violent crimes, felony drug charges, vehicular homicide, DUI offenses, and various felonies and misdemeanors. Carter’s experience includes the first jury trial after COVID in Knox County where he successfully represented his client in a DUI.
