What has led to Brandon’s success in representing hundreds of our clients through their most difficult days facing criminal charges?
Empathetic/Relationship Building: Brandon truly cares about his clients and focuses on building both a professional and personal relationship with every client to learn what our clients are most concerned about, their goals in obtaining criminal defense representation, and how our clients got into the situation they are facing.
Brandon does not want a clients’ questions or concerns to go unanswered. He believes a client should not worry about what is out of their control and unfortunately after an individual is placed under arrest, their case becomes out of their control. This is why Brandon routinely tells clients to let himself do the worrying about his clients’ cases. Brandon calls clients to keep them informed every step of the way and answers emails and phone calls from clients as soon as possible so our clients can rest assured that they are in good hands.
Knowledgable/Expertise: Brandon understands the law inside and out to create a legal strategy that maximizes the chances of reaching his clients’ goals by negotiating for a favorable plea agreement that will reach and surpass those goals, when possible, or argue for a dismissal at a motion hearing, preliminary hearing, or at trial.
To this end, Brandon travels the nation to attend the top training and educational programs to continue to perfect his skills. Brandon prides himself on discovering illegal stop, illegal arrests, and illegal seizure issues in cases where other attorneys may not based on his high level understanding of the law.
Results Driven: Brandon is not satisfied unless he surpasses his clients’ expectations in retaining him. Even in the worst cases, such as a DUI case with an incredibly high BAC and no question of impairment, Brandon evaluates every detail of the case because he constantly finds issues with officers’ investigations, or lack thereof, that result in favorable plea agreements or Brandon filing a motion to suppress an illegal arrest or seizure.
This has resulted in Brandon getting cases reduced even under some of the worst scenarios such as DUI cases that Brandon has gotten reduced up to a .25 BAC.

Mr. Barnes is a two time graduate of the University of Tennessee, in 2006 and 2009.
He graduated UT Law with honors and has been practicing in Knoxville and the surrounding counties since.
Continuing education and staying at the forefront of legal issues and practice is important to Mr. Barnes. He regularly travels throughout the country to attend the best and most timely continuing education and to further hone his legal skill.
